On Thursdays I go to Pippins.
Pippins is Rainbows in New Zealand. It's for children and the children are girls who are five to seven. We wear a uniform, a pink top with a pippin (it is an apple). It has a blue sash.I need a safety pin to clip my sash together.
We were the first to arrive. Always we have an afternoon snack of apple before they start Pippins. To start we all get in a circle. We talk about what we did in the week. We make things also at Pippins. We shout the Pippin Chant:
"Give me a P", "P"
"Give me a I", "I"
"Give me a P", "P"
"Give me another P", "P"
"Give me a I", "I"
"Give me a N", "N"
"Give me a S", "S"
"What does it spell?" "PIPPINS"
At Pippins yesterday I got Pippa Bear for a week. I have to take her back next time. Pippa Bear has a little pin for her sash. It is a blue ribbon.
